Emergency Management Consulting

Our C.E.O. saw a lack of companies that specialized in offering client-focused solutions for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. At the same time, many other businesses and non-profits provided services related to start-ups, development, and such. With 15 years of experience as a social worker across various non-profits and businesses, Mr. Oster has established a unique consulting and service delivery model tailored to the needs of each one he works with.

Why we do what we do?

Our Chief Executive Officer, Kurt W. Oster, graduated from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies in 2006 and his Non-Profit Leadership and Voluntary Action certification. As a consultant to non-profits and businesses, Mr. Oster has seen firsthand the difficulties accompanying disasters or incidents. Drawing from his background as a non-profit leader, social worker, educator, and life coach, he applies their knowledge to each project as consultants with their client’s needs always at the forefront. Evidence-Based Practice

The evidence-based practice and research in disaster and emergency management, preparedness, response, and recovery suggest that a disaster plan is an agreement between multiple participants and stakeholders that outlines the tasks, responsibilities, and procedures to address different incidents (Alexander, 2015). We know that having a plan before a disaster can help organizations quickly recover afterward. Hence, our consultants assist our clients in developing, executing, examining, and running drills of the disaster plan if needed.

Our organization employs an all-hazards & whole community approach to long-term recovery when helping businesses and organizations.

Our goal as a consulting business is straightforward: providing the industry and expert knowledge, instruction, consulting, and innovation necessary to help individuals, businesses, organizations, families, and communities plan for emergencies or crises, mitigate their effects, respond to them when they arise; and recover from them quickly. Our consultants collaborate with people at the international, tribal, federal, state, and local levels. We offer highly tailored services based on each client's specific requirements; these can include managing volunteers, generating resources, conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses, analyzing strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities and threats (S.W.O.T.), creating disaster/emergency plans and running exercises related to them, developing continuity of operations strategies, planning crisis communications, and carrying out project management tasks. In addition, we provide psychological first-aid support in terms of mental health assistance and behavior consulting services. Also, we are available to provide education and training that meets your business or organization's needs. Finally, our team also extends humanitarian help worldwide for various causes.
