At VonOstir Innovation Services, L.L.C., our approach to consulting comes from years of experience of our Chief Executive Officer. While many companies exist that consult businesses and non-profit organizations on start-up, development, service delivery, and such, one of the significant areas our C.E.O. saw that was lacking was a company that focused on the client's needs as it pertained to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
Our C.E.O., Mr. Kurt W. Oster, graduated in 2006 from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and his Certification in Non-Profit Leadership and Voluntary Action and went on to seek multiple graduate degrees.
Over his years serving as a consultant to non-profit organizations and most recently the business community, Mr. Oster has witnessed the challenges faced by organizations and businesses in responding effectively, providing services or goods, and continuing operations after a disaster or incident has occurred. Combing his academic Training and professional experiences as a non-profit leader, social worker, educator, and life coach, Mr. Oster and his team approach their work as consultants with the client at the forefront.

When consulting, our company focuses on an all-hazards approach for the clients we serve. Our consulting goal is simple,
"To provide industry & subject matter expertise, training, consulting, and innovation needed to help individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and communities to be prepared for, plan, mitigate, respond, and quickly recover after being affected by an incident disaster or crisis."
Our Consultant(s) work with individuals, families, groups, communities, organizations, businesses, and agencies at the local, state, federal, tribal, and international levels.
Our team tailors the specific work we do to meet the needs of each client's unique situation when it comes to developing their emergency plans that meet their specific needs and address all future contingencies as industry specialists.
According to Evidence-based practice and research in disaster and emergency management, preparedness, response, and recovery states that a disaster plan is a document which is shared between multiple parties (participants and stakeholders) that lays out and explains the specific tasks, responsibilities, and practices to address response in a particular or series of incidents (Alexander, 2015). In our work with businesses and organizations and thorough research, we know that when a disaster occurs, recovery comes quickly for those who have plans in place as it provides a process for them to recover and continue operations. Therefore, our consultants work with our clients in the development, implementation, review, and, if needed, the exercise of the disaster plan.
